Our Food at The Dabbling Duck
Wherever possible the produce used in the kitchens is locally sourced often from our own land. The Dabbling Duck is particularly proud of its game dishes, according to the season pheasant, partridge, pigeon, woodcock, rabbit and venison are all prepared on site.
We are lucky enough to have Dale Smith heading our kitchen team. Dale is passionate about his job and the produce available to him in Norfolk, often he is using produce straight from the farm to our front door, which he finds really exciting. He has notably worked for some time at The White Horse at Brancaster Staithe and also The Orange Tree in Thornham as Head Chef under award winning chef Phillip Milner (exec chef). It is an exciting time for all of us.
Below are some sample menus including children’s menu to give you a “taste” of what we do, you are welcome to ring for more information. There is also a “specials” board which changes regularly plus a bar snacks menu.
The Dabbling Duck also has a wood-fired pizza oven, and you won’t be able to resist Dales amazing toppings. The pizza is only served in the Garden or as a takeaway service on Friday and Saturday evenings. View our pizza menu.
It is essential that you phone to book a table at weekends.
We try our very best to accommodate guests who do not have a reservation for dinner, however you may experience considerable delays if you do not reserve a table. During the week we still advise to book a table to avoid disappointment.
