Private Dining

Here at the Dabbling Duck we have function rooms to suit any occasion.

Red Room

Our Red Room is in the front area of the pub. It is perfect for small gatherings; this room can seat up to 12 guests and is cosy and secluded. It is still in the front area of the pub, so you can still feel the lively atmosphere the pub has to offer.

Orangery

The orangery is light and airy. The room can comfortably seat 22 guests in a banqueting style format. This has been very popular for birthday celebrations and baby showers.

The Back-Library

The Back-library links on to the orangery, so when taking this space privately both areas need to be booked. It is a stunning room lined with books and the famous in-house resident Maurice the Moose, who is over 100 years old. This room with the adjoining orangery can seat up to 60 guests.

The Barn

Conference Packages

Here at The Dabbling Duck we can cater for your private business meetings and conferences.

All Meetings/conferences can have use of a overhead projector and flipchart.

Breakfast meetings – include a full English breakfast, tea or coffee and glass of juice. When booking this type of meeting the room is available from 8am-12pm.

Day meeting –  includes tea or coffee and pastries on arrival, tea and coffee break mid morning with freshly baked biscuits, soup and a roll for lunch, tea, coffee and biscuits in the afternoon. The room is then yours from 8am-4pm.

Weddings

Rachel Eagle – Manager/Events Planner at The Dabbling Duck
Not only are we lucky enough to have Rachel as our Manger at The Dabbling Duck she also has a wealth of experience planning weddings. Rachel has worked in the hospitality trade for over 12 years, managing hotels and restaurant along the coast , 3 years of which she worked self employed as a wedding and events manager, organising more than 100 weddings in that time . Deciding she preferred to organise smaller events that had more of personal service in a intimate atmosphere , Rachel has come on board at The Dabbling Duck not only to manger the Pub but also bring her wealth of experience in event planning.

Small weddings

50 guest packages
Subject to terms and conditions and availability. Excludes bank holidays and Sunday’s.
This gives you use of the Blenheim room, orangery and barn.

Wedding planner
Hire of rooms from 10am – 6pm

Silver package includes

Wedding planner
24 hour room hire 10am on the day of wedding until 10am the following day
3 x course wedding breakfast, 1 glass of prosecco for toast
Bride and groom get room 7 on night of their wedding – if it’s a Saturday wedding must pay for a second night either the Friday or Sunday – breakfast included
Pizza buffet in the barn in the evening

£4000 – works out £80 per head

Gold package

Wedding planner
24 hour room hire 10am on the day of wedding until 10am the following day
3 x course wedding breakfast, 1 glass of prosecco for toast
Wedding taster dinner for bride and groom before the wedding
Bride and groom get room 7 on night of their wedding – if it’s a Saturday wedding must pay for a second night either the Friday or Sunday – breakfast included
Pizza buffet in the barn in the evening
5 bottles of red wine and 5 bottles of white wine or tables
Arrival drinks, choices of bottle beer, pimms, prosecco

£4500 – works out £90 per person

Platinum package

Wedding planner
24 hour room hire 10am on the day of wedding until 10am the following day
3 x course wedding breakfast, 1 glass of champagne for toast
Wedding taster dinner for bride and groom before wedding
Bride and groom get room 7 for 2 nights includes night of their wedding
Also get 5 in house rooms and 2 garden rooms for the same 2 nights bb
Pizza buffet in the barn in the evening
5 bottles of red wine and 5 bottles of white wine or tables
Arrival drinks, choices of bottle beer, pimms, prosecco – canapés on arrival based on 3 per person

£7500 – works out £150 person
